Meme timeeh!
Gosh, this took hours! AGES!
When I started off I totally underestimated it.
Drawing 35 expressions is torture.
The main reason why I made myself do this was to learn a bit more about drawing a character consistently and of course, expressions. I decided not to use one of my OC's (mainly cause their design is still wildly in the works) and look for an easy to draw character who you could throw into any pose with not much effort. Cause I think 'expression' doesn't just apply to the face, it applies to the whole body.
Somehow I ended up with a version of Sonic where he's not quite as young as the classic version, but younger than the modern version. Mainly cause I totally failed in drawing modern Sonic, but didn't want him as young as classic Sonic. (But his spines got me every time. How the hell do you draw those things?)
It brought lots of good things though: I could have him react quite childlike in some situations and in others totally grown up. That's one of the most interesting qualities in teenagers, I think.
I also tried not to use too many of his default poses you see in the promo pictures, though I don't know if it worked that well...
Anyways, I'm hugely proud of myself and really happy with the outcome!
And Sonic Rocks!
